Rare Boxers

Black Boxers

Don't let anyone tell you that black boxers are "Rare", They aren't!! They have been around for a long, long time. Check out
black boxers info website about black boxers. They just aren't as popular as the fawns or brindles. Sealed black boxers are actually reverse brindles where the black striping has blended together. They are classified as sealed brindles. They are registered with AKC as brindles. You can see that they are not rare by going into Google and type in black boxers then click on Images. You will find a lot of them, just as you would if you did it with Yahoo or any search engine. Also you can find a lot of ads for boxers and many have the black boxers.

There are also a lot of boxer breeders who have litters of black boxers in many states:
Alabama alone has at least 10 breeders that I know of.
There are also some in Georgia, Tennessee, North & South Dakota, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Missouri, Ohio and Mississippi, just to mention a few. So, you can see they are "NOT RARE".

As defined in the dictionary:
Rare: 1. seldom seen or found
2. not happening often, unusual

Think about it!

Mahogany & Deer Red Fawns

Usually the mahogany fawns are a little harder to find, but they are out there
and they are not rare either.  Be careful of people claiming that their dog or dogs are mahogany.
Also watch for breeders claiming that their puppies are mahogany.
In order to have mahogany puppies, one of the parents would have to be a true mahogany.  And then you might only get one or two that will be mahogany in a litter.
To have a full litter of mahogany puppies is possible but, both the sire and the dam would have to be true mahogany. Don't be confused with a mahogany and a deer red fawn. The deer red is just a bit lighter than the mahogany, both are still fawns.

White Boxers

The white boxers are getting to be more popular. Very rarely did we have white boxer puppies. We do our best not to have them, but things happen and where we did have (one time) some in a litter. Some white boxers can have just the normal or average healthy conditions like all the other boxers, yet others may be deaf, blind or have health issues. All white boxer pups are registrable and come with a LIMITED registration for AKC.

Buyer Beware

While you are looking for that puppy to fill that empty spot, there are a lot of people out there that will help you. Some breeders are just great about helping you out and then some others are there to sell you a puppy. There are people that will buy several puppies if not the entire litter from a small breeder and sell those puppies at high prices to people by "false advertising". They will advertise that the pups have champion bloodlines but don't. They can't produce or show the parents, or they may give false information. Ask to see the pedigree papers and the registration papers on both parents. Basically, watch out for the puppy mills, pet shops, or large breeders selling lots of puppies of several breeds and always have puppies to sell. And these people can also be licensed...for what or by who?

Know that your breeder is taking those puppies to the vet for shots, deworming, removing dew claws and docking tails. Some breeders do this themselves, even the shots. Some pups never see the vet while they are with the breeder. Ask if the breeder will take the pup/dog back if you can no longer keep him/her.

Copyrights on Websites

Some websites have copyrights on them. Are they real or authentic? Take a little time and effort to find out. To the right is the copyright website. At the top of the Copyright home page in red, click on "Search Records". Then click on "Search the Catalog". By knowing this, you will know how honest the people are.

 Membership?

The American Kennel Club is a dog registry. People can not be members of AKC, only dogs that are registered with AKC.

Puppy Search

As you know from your experience that looking for the right boxer puppy for yourself
or your family is about as important as buying a house,
a vehicle or picking out the college or making a decision about a career/job.
This puppy that you choose should be part of your family.
You will expect certain things from your pup, but he or she,
of course needs to learn and be trained so both of you will grow together
and be as one would say...be on the same page.

Your pup is like a child, and needs to be train in the path you want him to go.

The scammers are out there trying to get your money too, so be careful.

And thank you for looking at my website.

Please come and visit us again.

Beware of breeders who claim that they have been breeding dogs for 15, 20, 30 or more years.  If they have been, they should have a written contract/health guarantee by now that should be on their website for you to read over so you know what you are getting into.  If you don't see one, they could be hiding something that they don't really want you to know until they get your money.

Be careful with backyard breeders. Many of their dogs never see a vet until the new owner takes them.  Usually their breeding methods are questionable.  Usually breeders that have more than one breed of dogs are classified as puppy mills no matter what scale they are.

Don't forget to ask the breeder about their vet.  Get that information and then call the vet to verify it.  Check out our Breeder Search page also.
